HOW TO NAIL OFF- DUTY STYLE

December 12, 2016

There has been so much talk about model off-duty style. Well let me break it down for us “regular” women. I consider on-duty styling work style, power dressing, cocktail attire. Off-duty styling is a more relaxed version of your personal style while still remaining on brand. This means not running around town in sweats, flip-flop and a hoodie. I teach my client’s that part of embracing you style as brand is learning how to nail off-duty style. It doesn’t have to be complicated. It just has to be you and here are some effortless style tips.

Keep it simple. I love 3 piece outfits: A base, a layer and a shoe.

Since I love dresses, I started with a basic gray long sleeve knit dress (perfect fall/winter basic) with stretch and works well with most body types (curvy, straight, petite). For my layer, I added an olive trench, which is one of the easiest wardrobe pieces to throw on and go and instantly look chic. It’s rare that I think a wardrobe piece is something can work for everyone, no matter what their style is. I finished my look with pink superstars and red lip.
