I constant coach my clients to dress for the career you want and dressing how you want to be addressed. Let’s face it, style matters because personality isn’t the first thing people see.
Studies have shown that well-dressed and articulate people are more likely to advance in the workplace. People often determine people’s ability to perform their jobs and decided their rankings on first impressions. Plus, when you are dressed to impress you are ready to be more kick-ass like a boss. Confidence transcends so fake it till you make it!
Whether you are in the corporate USA or an entrepreneur, you want to be able to command a room with your presence. What are you saying with your wardrobe? I recently worked with a client who lived in yoga pants and sweats but wanted to be taken more seriously in face-to-face meetings for her travel company. After our makeover, she was able to dress with confidence and lead her team more effectively because she instantly demanded more respect in the workplace.
Are you dressing for the career you want?

Answer these questions below to assess your style.
Am I considering my office environment? Conservative or Creative (flexibility with sleeveless looks and open-toe shoe options)
Do I feel confident and powerful in my outfit for the day?
Am I dressed for my audience (sales, C-Level Executives)?
Do I look like the CEO or the assistant?
If you can answer these questions on point then you have a winning strategy for success.

If need some assistance, my Power Dressing Reboot, might be a great styling package for you.

I love this, many people don’t want to believe it’s true, but you really do have to dress how you want to be addressed, I love that!!

Love your post, the images look great and you’re rocking that power outfit! And as much as we don’t want to admit it, we still judge people by the first impression we get of them, and clothing/style plays a big part- so great tips to help with that.

Thanks! I think it’s important for everyone to have and embrace their power outfit. We are so judged by what we wear from the shoes up! Thanks for visiting. Hope you come back again!

Do I look like a CEO or an assistant?! Thought-provoking at its best. I love a layered look! As a creative, simple is cute but color and layers are best in my eye! I enjoyed your post.

Larissa! I’m glad this helped you! I know it can be rough as I went through it. You get stuck think you need to dress in a stuffy suit and lose you style or be sloppy. You can do both. You just inspired me to write a new post about one of my speaking topics. Please subscribe for more tips. Thanks!
